William C. Clark,
52, of Saginaw and formerly of Harbor Beach, passed away Saturday, May
15, 2004, from injuries in an auto accident in Saginaw.
Born in Harbor Beach on Feb. 25, 1952, he was the
son of Charlotte (Klug) Clark and the late
Leland Clark.
Bill was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in
the U.S. Navy for four years. He was an employee of the Veterans
Hospital in Saginaw.
Surviving are his mother, Charlotte Clark
of Harbor Beach; children, Brent Clark of
Madison and daughter, Courtney Riep and her husband, George, of Saginaw;
sisters, Jacqueline Deike and her husband, Eugene, of Macomb and Ruth
Keyser and her husband, Roger, of Midland; brothers, Thomas Clark
and his wife, Becky, of Auburn, Wa., Douglas Clark
of Alexander City, Ala., Richard Clark and
his wife, Rhonda, of Celina, Texas, and David Clark
of Harbor Beach; and several nieces and nephews.
Services for William Clark
will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 20, 2004, in the Ramsey Funeral Home,
Harbor Beach with the Rev. Mark Girardin, pastor of Zion Lutheran Church
officiating. Burial will be in the White Rock
cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
on Wednesday and from 10 a.m. until the time of services on Thursday at
the funeral home. |

Clarence Junior "Mac" McCollough,
76, of White Rock near Harbor Beach, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2003
in Mercy Hospital Port Huron following a lengthy illness.
Born in Dearborn on June 26, 1927, he was the son of the late
Clarence and Lucille (Hannah) McCollough.
Mac was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Navy, on the
U.S.S. Arkansas during the time of the under water atomic bomb test at
Bikini Atoll. Mac also sailed the Great Lakes as a wheels man on the
Henry Ford II. He retired from Mich-Con after 31 years, he was head of
the service department of heating and cooling. Mac worked the past 16
years as a maintenance man for the Harbor House Apartments of Harbor
Beach. He was a volunteer for meals on wheels and also a member of the
American Legion Post No. 197, and VFW Post No. 9344.
Mac was a sportsman all his life, he enjoyed fishing and hunting.
He designed and built his own lighthouse in White Rock, there he became
known as "The Lighthouse Keeper". His goal was to keep White
Rock on the map. He enjoyed sharing many tales and historical facts of
the area.
Clarence is survived by his children: Mary Jackson and her
husband, John, of Whitmore Lake, Joseph McCollough
and his wife, Cindy, of South Lyon, Lucille
VanZandt of Jackson, Betty Monarch and her husband, Mark, of Petersburg,
Kathy Henderson and her husband, David, of Harbor Beach; 11
grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a sister, Marilyn Edwards of White
Rock; a brother, Patrick McCollough of
Lansing; several nieces and nephews; special friend Gloria Pawlowski of
Harbor Beach and her children, James and John Pawlowski and JoAnn
Sutton.
Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 2,
2004, at the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach with the Rev. Theresa
Cutler officiating. Burial will be in the White Rock Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and
from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Friday at the funeral home.
Military honors will be given in honor of Mac by both the American
Legion Post No. 197 and the VFW Post No. 9344. |
