"Hatheway House"  24 Mile Road, New Baltimore, MI

It's GONE!!!!!!!   For those who never had the chance to see it, you missed a classic.  Now some land developer will be building multiple houses on the lot.  Question is....will the land be Haunted?  (yes, I took the below color photos myself.....on a guided real estate tour with the previous owner's brother.)

* 1850 census of Rochester , trader, $1,400. PIERCE CONTRIBUTIONS, p. 331, was State Senator and addressed as "Hon." Ref. MICH. BIOG., Lansing , Thorp & Godfrey, 1888, p. 331:
     * He came to Mich. in 1846, and inaugurated extensive business enterprises at New Baltimore, Macomb Co.; had been Col. of Mass. Militia; known for deeds of charity and benevolence in Mich. Senator from Macomb Co. in 1871, but died before close of term; left large property....gave $15,000 to erect a bldg. for school, Hatheway Institute at New Baltimore. * The greater portion of New Baltimore belongs to Hatheway estate.
